We have opportunities for experienced, reliable Store Persons to join the Night-shift Picking & Loading team in our fast-paced, busy Foodservice team based in Mangere, Auckland (near Auckland Airport).

About the role

As a Store person, you will play a key role in efficiently picking and packing/and loading trucks with chilled food products for customer orders in a temperature-controlled environment (approximately 9°C). PPE will be provided.

The offer:

  • Immediate start
  • Full-time permanent role
  • Pick Pack: Sunday to Friday, Shift Between 5.00 pm to 2.00 am
  • Loading team: Sunday to Friday, Shift a) 10.00 pm to 6.00 am b) 8.00 pm to 4.00 am
  • Competitive pay rate including night shift allowance
  • Location: Ihumatao Road, Mangere

 

The role:

  • Efficiently picking and packing goods for dispatch.
  • Achieve a high accuracy rate in picking orders without errors.
  • Coordinating and ensuring that the orders are packed on time.
  • Loading/ hand-stacking goods into trucks in the assigned sequence
  • Stacking and wrapping pallets, including empty kegs and crates.
  • Working closely with our drivers to ensure service levels are met and maintained
  • Maintaining a neat and tidy workplace at the end of your shift.
  • Heavy lifting up to 25 kgs.
  • Filling and replenishment

 

The person:

You will have experience working in a warehouse or logistics environment in a similar role, with a background in pick packing/ loading trucks being ideal. This is a physically demanding position that requires a strong individual who can keep pace in our fast-moving work environment. You should be able to handle the physicality of the role and thrive under pressure while maintaining efficiency and accuracy.

  • Some Pick pack and loading work experience will be beneficial.
  • Be physically strong and fit; the job involves hand loading and hoist work.
  • Experience in a Warehouse or Logistics environment preferred
  • Scanning and Computer skills are advantageous
  • Be able to present a clean criminal record
  • A self-starter who doesn't need constant supervision- you will own this role.
  • Have reasonably good reading, writing in English and arithmetic skills.
  • You will be physically fit and able to lift up to 25 kg.
  • Be extremely reliable, with a proven record of exceptional attendance in all previous work.
  • Be a team player with a positive attitude.
  • Must have their own transport.
