About the Role

We are a steel structure fabrication and installation company specialising in complex steel structures, heavy lifting, and mechanical installation projects. We are currently seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our team and provide engineering expertise across fabrication, installation, and site operations.

This role involves applying mechanical engineering principles to analyse, plan, and support steel structure and mechanical works, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in compliance with engineering and health & safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse steel structures, mechanical systems, and lifting equipment to evaluate performance, safety, and suitability for project requirements.

• Develop engineering methodologies and installation solutions for steel structure fabrication, erection, and heavy lifting works.

• Provide engineering oversight for steel structure fabrication and installation activities.

• Design and supervise lifting and rigging operations for heavy and oversized components.

• Inspect and review mechanical equipment, lifting machinery, and installed systems from an engineering perspective.

• Review testing and inspection results to confirm mechanical integrity and operational reliability.

• Investigate mechanical failures, abnormal performance, or unexpected maintenance issues and develop engineering corrective actions.

• Supervise installation of mechanical equipment and piping systems.

• Provide technical supervision and engineering support to site teams.

About You

• A Bachelor’s degree or above in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline is preferred, or

• At least 3 years of relevant work experience in mechanical engineering roles involving steel structures, heavy lifting, and industrial installations.

• Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and practical site experience.

• Ability to exercise independent engineering judgement and provide technical supervision.

• Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
