Harman Impex is an established importer and distributor of Indian food and grocery products in New Zealand, supplying a wide range of products to retailers and commercial customers across the country. We are a friendly team of dedicated people committed to delivering reliable service and quality products to our customers.
We have a full-time opportunity for a Sales Manager to join our team in Auckland. You will be required to work Monday–Friday for a minimum of 30 hours and up to 45 hours per week, with an hourly rate of $35–$50 per hour, depending on skills and experience.
Key Responsibilities:

Plan, organise and manage the company’s sales operations to achieve revenue targets, maintain strong commercial relationships, and support business growth.

Develop and implement sales strategies and distribution initiatives to expand the company’s business-to-business customer network within the food and grocery retail sector.

Manage the company’s sales and customer account operations, ensuring effective servicing of commercial customers and adherence to agreed supply arrangements.

Lead and manage staff within the sales and customer accounts functions, including allocating work, monitoring performance, and providing guidance and training to support effective sales and customer account management.

Establish, develop and maintain long-term commercial relationships with customers, supporting consistent sales growth and customer retention.

Negotiate supply arrangements, pricing structures, and sales agreements with customers to achieve commercially sustainable outcomes.

Monitor and analyse sales performance, customer purchasing patterns, and market demand to identify growth opportunities and improve sales strategies.

Oversee customer account management activities, including coordination of invoicing processes, credit arrangements, and monitoring of payment performance.

Coordinate sales activities with warehouse and logistics operations to ensure efficient order fulfilment, stock availability, and timely product distribution.

Review sales performance, revenue trends, and product demand patterns to support sales planning and business decision-making.

Manage and resolve complex sales service matters and commercial issues to maintain strong and ongoing business relationships.

Develop and implement sales procedures and operational systems to improve efficiency and support the company’s distribution operations.

Identify opportunities to expand the company’s customer base and product distribution channels within the food and grocery supply sector.
Job Requirements:
• To be successful, you must have a Diploma Level 5 in Business, Management or a related field, or at least 2 years of relevant work experience in sales, distribution, or business-to-business customer management.
• Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
• A positive attitude and strong work ethic.
