Job description

•    Studying drawings and specifications in blueprints, sketches or building plans to prepare project layout and determine dimensions and materials required

•    Material quantity and quality inspection for the form works

•    Preparing drawings for cabinetry and framing works

•    Taking measurements and calculating the size and number of timbers and materials needed for the form works

•    Cutting, shaping and smoothing lumber and other material according to measurements

•    Building structures and fixtures by using raw materials or pre-constructed items

•    Erecting frameworks including walls and lays floorboards and confirming if the structure is well established according to drawings

•    Inspecting the building site and conduct repairs or maintenance for the form works

•    Following established safety rules and regulations and maintaining a safe and clean environment.

Required skills, qualificaiton and work experience 

·         Qualification is not compulsory but shall have at least 2 years of relevant experience 

·         Have a health & safety, environmental and quality focus

·         Have good communication skills

·         Be responsible, hardworking and physically fit

Working place, hours, wages level and other benefits

·         Working in assigned construction sites in Auckland

·         Standard hours: minimum 30 hours and maximum 45 hours 

·         Remuneration: great market driven rates on experience, hour rate $28-$30
