Milestone Limited T/A Music Star is a Christchurch-based music company dedicated to nurturing young talent and promoting a love for music. We are looking for a piano teacher to join our growing team. The guaranteed minimum working hours is 30 hours per week, with an hourly rate of $30-$34.50, subject to your skills and experience.

Key Responsibilities

·       Deliver high-quality piano instruction to students of varying levels

·       Teach music theory and foster students’ confidence in learning piano

·       Develop and adjust individual and group teaching plans

·       Prepare appropriate teaching materials tailored to students’ needs

·       Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback and solutions

·       Prepare students for competitions and public performances

·       Organize and participate in regular student concerts and events

 

Requirements

-       A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Music

-       An excellent pianist with previous teaching experience is preferred

-       Experience in preparing students for piano competitions is an advantage

-       Patient, professional, and enthusiastic about working with children and youth

-       Available to work weekends. Normal working hours will be between:

·       Weekdays: 3:00 PM – 7:00 PM

·       Weekends: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM

-       Must have NO criminal record
