●        Location: CHRISTCHURCH

●        Job type: Full-time Permanent

●        Number of positions for this job: up to 3

●        Pay rate: from $28-$35 per hour

●        Days required: 5-6 days/week

●        Hours per week: min 30, max 50 hours per week

Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

●          Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to fully grasp requirements

●          Take measurements and calculate the size and amount of material needed

●          Cut, shape and smooth lumber and other material (e.g. fiberglass) according to measurements

●          Fits and installs window frames, doors, door frames, door hardware, interior and exterior trim using a carpenter’s level, plumb bob, and laser levels.

●          Lay out floorings, roofing or drywalls ensuring they are levelled and compatible

●          Assembles and fastens materials to make frameworks or props, using hand tools and wood screws, nails, dowel pins, or glue.

●          Removes damaged or defective parts or sections of structures and repair or replace, using hand tools.

Job Requirement

●         At least two-years relevant prior experience or substitute with a formal qualification

●         A “can-do” attitude

●         Have an eye on details

●         Self-motivated

●         Clean non-criminal record
