We are currently seeking experienced Steel Fixers to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for placing and securing reinforcing steel and mesh used to strengthen concrete structures in commercial and residential projects

Key Responsibilities: 

Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications 

Cut, bend, and tie reinforcing steel bas and mesh 

Install reinforcement for concrete foundations, slabs, columns, and beams 

Secure steel using tie wire and hand or power tools

Ensure steel placement meets engineering specifications

Work with supervisors and other trades on site 

Follow all health and safety procedures 

 

Requirements: 

At least 2 years experience or level 4 qualification 

Ability to read technical drawings 

Physically fit and ability to work on construction sites, in varying weather conditions

Strong understanding of reinforcing steel installation

Reliable transport and ability to work a team 

On Offer: 

Competitive Horly: $27 to $32 per hour 

Full Time work, Monday to Friday, minimum of 30 hours per week
