About the role

Rightmove Recruitment is seeking experienced Painters and Brush hands to join our team in Christchurch. We have several temporary and full time roles available with leading residential and commercial painting companies.

As part of these high performing teams, you will be responsible for applying high-quality paint finishes to a variety of residential and commercial properties, ensuring our clients' needs are met to the highest standard.

What you'll be doing

• Preparing and painting interior and exterior surfaces, including walls, ceilings, trims, and other architectural features
• Selecting appropriate paints, primers, and other materials based on project requirements
• Ensuring a clean and tidy work environment throughout the duration of each project
• Adhering to all health and safety protocols to protect yourself and others on the job site
• Working collaboratively with the broader team to ensure timely and efficient project completion

What we're looking for

• Minimum 12 months of experience as a professional Painter or Brush hand, with a strong understanding of painting techniques and materials
• Ability to read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and other technical documents
• Excellent attention to detail and a keen eye for achieving a high-quality finish
• Strong physical stamina and the ability to work on your feet for extended periods
• A valid driver's licence and reliable transportation to job sites
• A positive attitude, strong communication skills, and the ability to work well within a team
• Able to provide 2 work related references
• Reliable transport to get work
