My client is a very successful, long-standing company that offers installations, repairs and servicing for a wide range of Dental / Medical Equipment. They are true leaders in their industry, with no real competitors in the market.

They provide their services to Clinics all across New Zealand, nationwide.  With 50 years in the business, they have a lot of knowledge and experience, and they are currently enjoying a period of growth. 

They are looking to further build their Tauranga based Service team and would like to train and develop a Service Technician, who is keen on growing their career within the Dental / Medical industry. 

 You can't go wrong with this industry. It is a very stable and interesting space and those who have skills in this area, will always be in demand.

They are either seeking to hire a Trainee Service Technician, who is looking for a ‘foot in the door’ opportunity to learn on the job and get a qualification under their belt.

The Role:

  • Be given comprehensive, on the job training.

  • Perform repair activities and installation work out on customer sites and in the workshop.

  • Diagnostic and fault-finding work, both on phone and onsite 

  • Configure, maintain & troubleshoot interfaces between electromechanical devices.

  • Demonstrate high level of client services at all times.

  • Upskill across all the company's products


The successful candidate will:

  • Ideally has a couple of years’ work experience or have completed tertiary studies in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

  • Be keen to develop their career as a skilled tradesperson performing electro-mechanical work.

  • Possibly have around a year of experience as a technician and be looking to change industries and further develop their skills.

  • Has a positive, can-do attitude and be willing to get stuck into a variety of tasks.

  • Holds a clean, full driver’s licence (or be able to obtain their full licence within the next few months).

  • Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills.

  • Have excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.

  • Ideally holds EST or EAS qualifications, OR be willing to work towards obtaining them.
