Electrician

Join a leading local contractor delivering essential infrastructure and smart traffic solutions across the Bay of Plenty.

We are ooking for motivated and skilled Electrician for our client to join their growing team. delivering a wide range of civil construction and electrical infrastructure projects for local councils and private clients, with weekly guaranteed hours at least 30 and a gross hourly pay rate of $40.

In this position, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, testing, and fault-finding electrical systems. You will also be involved in the installation and servicing of various systems and associated equipment.

You may also provide site supervision when required and support junior technicians on-site.

Key Responsibilities

• General electrical installation, maintenance, and repairs

• Fault finding and diagnostics

• Testing and commissioning of electrical systems

• Installation and maintenance of various systems, and related components

• Ensuring compliance with AS/NZS 3000 and all relevant safety standards

• Completing electrical certification and documentation

• Daily Health & Safety compliance and hazard identification

• Providing professional customer service on-site

• Assisting with job planning and mentoring apprentices/technicians where required

What We’re Looking For

• 3 years’ experience in general electrical work

• Strong fault-finding ability

• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings

• Good communication and organizational skills
