Further information about the Role:

Based in Pukekohe, the team enjoys a relaxed semi-rural environment with excellent cafés, a growing social scene, and easy public transport links to Auckland City.  You may be required to travel within New Zealand from time to time, depending on Client needs, as we service clients all over New Zealand (primarily Auckland, Waikato, and the Bay of Plenty - with select projects in Northland, the South Island, and even the Pacific Islands).  We have a standard 1 day per week work from home policy.

Requirements for the position:

We are looking for a hydrogeologist who holds a minimum qualification of an MSc in geology, hydrogeology or a closely related field and brings one to three years of professional experience.  The role requires experience in hydrogeologic fieldwork, competency in operating field equipment, and the ability to supervise drilling contractors.  You will also need practical experience in hydrogeological modelling, groundwater chemistry, and preparing consenting reports.  Earthtech uses FEFLOW for groundwater modelling.

A salary of $82,000 to $88,000 per annum is offered for a minimum guaranteed 40-hour week.

Attention to detail and excellent written and verbal English skills are essential.  You must also hold a valid New Zealand driver’s license or be eligible to drive on your international license, and be willing to travel for fieldwork.
