Position: Carpenter

 

Job duties:

·         Read blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine materials, dimensions & installation procedures

·         Select correct timbers and materials

·         Prepare the layout of the project

·         Cut timber, materials, assemble and install parts

·         Erect frames and trusses

·         Install wallboards and floorboards

·         Nail fascia panels, sheath roofs, and fit exterior wall cladding and door and window frames

·         Verify trueness of structure

·         Interior lining and finish

·         Construct and assemble concrete foundation formwork

·         Inspect places and conduct repairs, maintenance, or renovations

·         Ensure workmanship and observe health and safety regulations

·         Any other duties the employer may reasonably require the employee to perform

 

Pay rate: Minimum $27.00/ hour   Maximum $32.00/ hour

 

Guaranteed hours of work per week:  Minimum 30 hours, permanent full-time

 

Requirements for the job:

·         You should have at least 2 years of relevant work experience; 

·         Be physically fit

·         Full time availability

·         May work on weekends

·         No criminal record

·         Candidates need to be NZ citizens/residents
