Job Description:
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Prepare and bake a variety of breads, rolls, pastries, pies, and other baked goods
following standard recipes and client specifications. - Operate bakery equipment such as ovens, mixers, and dough dividers.
- Monitor and adjust baking processes to ensure high-quality products.
- Measure and combine ingredients accurately according to recipes or production requirements.
- Decorate and finish baked products such as cakes and pastries.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations.
- May supervise or train junior staff, apprentices, or assistants.
Job requirement: applicant must meet following requirement to apply for this job
- NZQF Level 4 qualification
- At least two years of working experience in relevant industry
- Expertise in baking techniques and understanding of ingredient properties.
- Time management skills to handle multiple baking tasks.
- Strong attention to detail for quality control and presentation.
- Physical stamina for extended periods of standing and manual labor.
- Ability to work early mornings, or weekends, as baking often involves nonstandard hours.
