Job Description:

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Prepare and bake a variety of breads, rolls, pastries, pies, and other baked goods
    following standard recipes and client specifications.
  • Operate bakery equipment such as ovens, mixers, and dough dividers.
  • Monitor and adjust baking processes to ensure high-quality products.
  • Measure and combine ingredients accurately according to recipes or production requirements.
  • Decorate and finish baked products such as cakes and pastries.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas and equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations.
  • May supervise or train junior staff, apprentices, or assistants.

Job requirement: applicant must meet following requirement to apply for this job

  • NZQF Level 4 qualification
  • At least two years of working experience in relevant industry
  • Expertise in baking techniques and understanding of ingredient properties.
  • Time management skills to handle multiple baking tasks.
  • Strong attention to detail for quality control and presentation.
  • Physical stamina for extended periods of standing and manual labor.
  • Ability to work early mornings, or weekends, as baking often involves nonstandard hours.
