Better Mowers and Heating Centre, operated by NIRALI ENTERPRISE LIMITED, specialises in the sales, servicing, and repair of outdoor power equipment, lawn mowers, and heating appliances. We are seeking a reliable and technically skilled Workshop Manager to oversee the daily operations of our mechanical workshop. The successful candidate will coordinate repair work, supervise technicians, and ensure efficient servicing of outdoor power equipment and related machinery.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and supervise daily workshop operations and mechanical repair activities.

  • Diagnose mechanical faults and oversee servicing of lawn mowers, outdoor power equipment, and related machinery.

  • Allocate repair and maintenance tasks to technicians and monitor job progress.

  • Provide technical support and guidance to workshop staff.

  • Inspect completed repair work to ensure quality and safety standards are met.

  • Maintain workshop tools, equipment, and servicing facilities.

  • Monitor spare parts inventory and arrange procurement when required.

  • Maintain service records, repair documentation, and job reports.

  • Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety requirements.

  • Liaise with customers regarding repair assessments, service timelines, and quotations.


Skills and Experience Required

Applicants must meet one of the following:

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience in mechanical repair, outdoor power equipment servicing, or workshop operations; OR

  • A relevant NZQF Level 4 qualification or higher in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related mechanical trade.

Additionally, candidates should demonstrate:

  • Strong diagnostic and mechanical troubleshooting skills.

  • Experience supervising workshop operations or coordinating repair tasks.

  • Good organisational and time management abilities.

  • Effective communication and customer service skills.

  • Commitment to maintaining high safety and service standards.

A valid New Zealand driver’s licence is preferred.
