About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Transport Service Manager to oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of our transport and logistics services. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing transportation operations to ensure efficient and cost-effective delivery of services while maintaining high safety and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, organise, direct and coordinate transport operations and service delivery.
  • Manage fleet operations including scheduling, routing, and vehicle utilisation.
  • Monitor operational performance to ensure services are delivered efficiently and on time.
  • Develop and implement transport policies, procedures and operational strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with transport regulations, health and safety standards, and company policies.
  • Manage and supervise transport staff including drivers, dispatchers and support personnel.
  • Oversee maintenance schedules and ensure vehicles and equipment are in safe working condition.
  • Liaise with clients, suppliers and contractors to ensure service requirements are met.
  • Analyse operational data and implement improvements to enhance service efficiency and quality.

Requirements

  • Relevant level 5 or above qualification in transport management, logistics, business management or related field OR at least two years of relevant work experience.
  • Proven experience managing transport, logistics or fleet operations.
  • Strong organisational and leadership skills.
  • Good knowledge of transport regulations, safety standards and operational procedures.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage staff, schedules and operational challenges effectively.
