MOBILE HYDRAULIC HOSE TECHNICIAN

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Hydraulic Hose Technician to join our team at Southland Hydraulic Services (Pirtek Southland) and support our expanding operations.

Role Overview: As a Hydraulic Technician, you will take the lead in delivering consistent, accurate, and high-quality service to our customers. This hands-on role involves traveling to sites within the designated area to manage complex breakdowns, oversee hose replacements, and carry out new installation work on a wide range of machinery.

To be considered for the role you will:

• Ideally, hydraulic & hose repair experience would be advantage. We encourage mechanics or engineers to apply.
• Be proficient in operating machinery, using tools, and measuring devices with precision.
• Demonstrate strong diagnostic skills and experience in repairs and maintenance of machinery.
• Possess excellent numeracy, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Exhibit a strong work ethic, pride in workmanship, and a customer-first mindset.
• Be confident in problem-solving and prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines.
• Be capable of working independently and leading within a team environment.
• Hold current NZ Full Driver’s License and be medically/physically fit.
• Be flexible with working hours, including availability for after-hours service and rostered weekends on call.
• A competitive remuneration package will be negotiated with the successful applicants based on Skills & Experience.
