CARPENTER

Tasks you may carry out include:

• Reading and understanding specifications in blueprints, sketches, and building plans

• Preparing work procedures and determining dimensions and materials required

• Planning the order and selection of timbers and other materials, and preparing layouts

• Shaping and cutting materials to specified measurements using hand or power tools

• Assembling and fixing prepared parts to form frameworks or structures for buildings and internal fittings

• Erecting wood framing, building internal walls and partitions, and laying sub-flooring or floorboards

• Installing doors, stairways, window frames, and other timber structures

• Carrying out repair, renovation, and maintenance work when required

• Following established health and safety procedures and maintaining a safe and tidy work environment

To be successful you will need:

• At least 6 months of relevant carpentry work experience

• To be a reliable team player and able to follow instructions

• To be physically fit and willing to work hard

• Good attention to detail and practical problem-solving skills

• A positive and can-do attitude

Travel requirement:
This role is based in Auckland, but due to project requirements, successful applicants must be willing to travel and work in Wellington, Christchurch, and Queenstown when required. The company will provide reasonable travel and accommodation allowances/subsidies for approved work-related travel.
