Hours: Minimum 30 hours – Maximum 50 hours per week

Hutt City Painters Limited provides painting, renovation, and general construction services for residential and commercial projects across Wellington region.

 We are currently seeking an experienced Builder / Carpenter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for constructing, erecting, installing, renovating, and repairing structures and fixtures made from wood, plywood, wallboard, and other building materials for construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Reading and interpreting building plans and specifications to determine materials, dimensions, and installation methods.
• Measuring, cutting, shaping, and assembling timber and other building materials using hand tools and power tools.
• Constructing and installing building frameworks and structures including walls, floors, ceilings, and roof framing.
• Installing building fixtures and fittings such as doors, windows, staircases, cabinets, wallboards, and other timber components.
• Renovating and repairing existing timber structures and building components to ensure structural integrity and quality.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of relevant work experience in carpentry or construction or a level 4 qualification in carpentry or construction or a related field.
• Clear criminal record
• Be able to work at weekend (in case emergency required)
