Carpenter

We are urgently seeking a skilled and reliable Carpenter to join our construction team in Auckland.This is a full-time, long-term position working on residential building projects.

The successful candidate will undertake a wide range of carpentry tasks and work closely with site supervisors and other trades to deliver projects to a high standard.

Construction and Installation: Lead the construction and installation of wooden structures like walls, floors, ceilings, and frameworks, following blueprints, specifications, and building codes.

Carpentry Techniques: Apply a range of carpentry techniques and tools, from saws and drills to chisels and planes, to precisely measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood and other materials.

Safety Compliance: Ensure a safe working environment by strictly following safety regulations and procedures, including wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) and operating tools and equipment safely.

Quality Control: Maintain high standards of workmanship by paying close attention to detail and following established quality standards and best practices.

Team Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with architects, engineers, and other team members to coordinate tasks, resolve issues, and achieve project goals.

Problem Solving: Identify and solve construction challenges and technical issues as they arise, using creative solutions and troubleshooting skills.

Adaptability: Be flexible and adaptable in responding to changes in project requirements, timelines, and priorities while maintaining productivity and professionalism.

Customer Service: Interact professionally with clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders, providing excellent customer service and representing the company positively. 

To be successful in this role, you should have：

1.       Minimum of two years of proven experience in carpentry or another construction role. Alternatively, a relevant qualification.

2.       Must be available to work early mornings and weekends (based on work arrangement).

3.       Physical stamina and the ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.

4.       Ability to follow safety procedures and guidelines.

5.       Pre-employed drug test and police checks are required.
