​​Job Description

  • Interpreting plans, diagrams, and specifications to plan plumbing system layouts and identify needed materials
  • Planning, positioning, and fitting systems for hot and cold water along with related equipment
  • Fitting water-operated fire safety systems, such as fire hydrants, hose reels, and sprinkler setups
  • Planning and fitting sanitary plumbing, water supply systems, waste pipes, and bathroom fixtures
  • Constructing and fitting soil and waste vent pipes
  • Putting together and installing mechanical plant equipment, air handling and conditioning units, and small bore heating systems
  • Setting up sewage and effluent pumps along with disposal systems
  • Installing below-ground drainage networks and necessary supporting structures
  • Fitting, servicing, and fixing gas mains, downstream piping from the meter, and gas-using appliances and attachments
  • Manufacturing and fitting sheet metal roofing, rainwater collection components, and weatherproof seals
  • Fitting and mending pipes and systems for water, drainage, gas, and sewage, excluding water-based fire protection
  • Completing additional appropriate tasks as directed by the employer

  • Location: Auckland
  • Job type: Full-time Permanent
  • Pay rate: 25.00- 35.00 New Zealand dollars per hour
  • Days required: Monday to Saturday
  • Hours per week: At least 30

Job Requirement

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience, or a relevant NZ level 4 qualification, or an equivalent overseas qualification is required.
  • Registration is not required and trainee licence is also acceptable.
