 We are currently seeking a Chef  

Number of Position Available: One  

Location: Auckland Region  

Payrate: $24.00 - $35.00 per hour

Minimum Hours of Work Per Week: 30 hours

Maximum Hours of Work Per Week: 40 hours

 To be a successful Chef, you should be efficient and friendly with a focus on food quality and customer satisfaction. You should be organized, decisive, attentive, and possess a strong understanding of Cooking techniques.

Requirements

At least two years of relevant experience

Or

Must have Minimum Level 4 New Zealand Qualifications in Chef or Hospitality Industry

 

Key duties and responsibilities of Chef

·        Prepare and cook special dishes

·        Prepare the key ingredients for Dishes

·        Prepare the Food items upon customer order

·        Conducting regular stock check and stock takes for the items

·        Managing the kitchen operation (Including food ordering & costing)

·        Maintaining and designing appropriate menu.

·        Controlling food quality and cost and talking to the Owner when needed.

·        Implementing and overseeing special events or food promotions.

·        Holding regular meetings with the key kitchen staff to ensure smooth running of the kitchen.

·        Ensuring all documents are sent to appropriate person for processing

·        Any other tasks required by the management to ensure smooth running of the kitchen

·        To store, prepare and cook of all food items, whilst adhering to all Health and Food Safety areas of “Due Diligence” as laid out by management

·        To also demonstrate and help maintain high levels of service that consistently exceeds the expectations of our members.

·        To ensure minimum kitchen wastage.

·        To follow the cleaning schedules for the kitchen and clean the section and other areas as directed.

·        Accept and store deliveries

·        To comply with all the Company’s policies and procedures to ensure that all-statutory regulations are observed.

·        To comply with the conditions of the food hygiene policies.
