Carpenter

Duties include:

• Shape or cut materials to specified measurements, using hand tools, machines,  or power saws.
• Measure and mark cutting lines on materials, using a ruler, pencil, chalk, and marking gauge.
• Install structures or fixtures, such as windows, frames, floorings, trim, or hardware, using carpenters’ hand or power tools
• Build or repair cabinets, doors, frameworks, floors, or other wooden fixtures used in buildings, using woodworking machines, carpenter’s hand tools, or power tools.
• Remove damaged or defective parts or sections of structures and repair or replace, using hand tools.
• Finish surfaces of woodwork or wallboard in houses or buildings, using paint, hand tools, or panelling.
• Studying drawings and creating forming shutters for concrete work Creating structures, forms or chutes for pouring concrete for large concrete jobs
• Follow established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean environment. 
• All other duties as assigned

• Days required: Monday to Saturday on roster
• Hours per week: guaranteed a minimum of 30 hours a week, a maximum of 50 hours a week.
• Wage: $29-35per hour
• Number of Vacancies: 3 position

A qualification at Level 4 or above
OR
At least 24 months of relevant work experience (this can include any experience in the construction industry).
