Job Responsibilities –

  • Prepare and cook a range of fresh food items using raw ingredients in accordance with established recipes, food safety standards, and quality requirements.
  • Plan and organise daily food preparation activities to ensure efficient production and consistent availability of ready-to-sell items.
  • Monitor cooking processes to ensure correct baking temperatures, food safety compliance, and consistency in taste, texture, and presentation.
  • Contribute to menu planning and development by introducing new menu offerings and seasonal food offerings based on customer demand and product availability.
  • Supervise and coordinate kitchen workflow during trading hours to ensure timely preparation and service.
  • Monitor stock levels of ingredients, conduct stock rotation (FIFO), and place or recommend orders to maintain adequate supply.
  • Ensure proper storage, labelling, and handling of food in compliance with food safety regulations and company standards.
  • Maintain strict adherence to health, hygiene, and workplace safety requirements.
  • Train and guide junior staff in food preparation techniques, safe equipment operation, and hygiene practices.
  • Inspect food quality before display or sale to ensure it meets company and regulatory standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of all kitchen and food preparation areas.

 

Work Hours and Benefits:

  • Minimum requirement of 30 hours per week.
  •  Compensation ranges from $27 to $32 per hour.

 

Other Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience or a minimum level-4 relevant Qualification. 
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Physically capable of standing for extended periods.
