FreshChoice Cromwell – Warehouse Assistant
Location: Cromwell, New Zealand
Wage: $26–28 per hour

Hours: Minimum 30 per week.

 

Position Overview

 

FreshChoice Cromwell is seeking a reliable and motivated Warehouse Assistant to support the efficient operation of our warehouse and inventory management. The successful candidate will play a key role in receiving, handling, and dispatching goods to ensure smooth store operations and accurate stock control.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Receive incoming goods, check for damage, and verify against invoices.

  • Unload delivery vehicles, open packages, and remove contents.

  • Operate computers to track stock locations, quantities, and inventory records.

  • Label goods with storage details and prepare items for storage.

  • Pack, weigh, and seal boxes for distribution.

  • Operate machinery and equipment to lift, place, and retrieve goods from high storage areas.

  • Use specialised warehouse equipment such as manually or electronically guided order pickers.

  • Assist with regular stocktakes and inventory reconciliation.

  • Move goods using materials handling equipment, including hydraulic pallet lifters and hand trucks.

 

Requirements

 

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in retail, warehouse, or similar operations.

  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

  • Attention to detail and accuracy in stock handling.

  • Physical ability to lift and move goods as required.

  • Familiarity with warehouse equipment and basic computer skills.
