Truck driver

We are looking for Two Truck Drivers to join our dynamic team based in Auckland. As a Truck Driver you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and timely delivery of goods to our clients across various locations in New Zealand.

• Position: Truck Driver
• Hourly Rate: $30 - $35
• Minimum Weekly Hours: 30
• Location: Auckland

Key Responsibilities:

• Manoeuvring vehicles into position for loading and unloading
• Loading and unloading goods using lifting and tipping devices
• Observing safety requirements when loading and unloading vehicles
• Making regular quality checks of vehicles to ensure they can be driven safely
• Estimating weights to comply with load limitations and ensuring safe distribution of weight
• Ensuring goods are stowed and securely covered to prevent loss and damage
• Verifying loading documents, checking condition of goods and obtaining certification of deliveries
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery status and any issues encountered.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures, including safety protocols and regulations.

Requirements:

• Class 4 License or Equivalent
• Forklift License or willing to obtain
• Ability to maintain Strong knowledge of traffic laws, regulations, and safety standards.
• Excellent Navigation skills and familiarity with GPS systems.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Physical stamina and the ability to handle long distance driving and manual labour.
• Attention to detail and commitment to delivering goods safely and on time.
• Flexibility to work irregular hours and weekends, as needed.

To be considered for this role you must be in NZ, and either be an NZ resident, citizen or have the legal right to work in NZ full time.
