Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret and work from building blueprints and diagrams to determine proper dimensions, shapes, and designs of form structures.
  • Select and work with materials such as wood, plastic, fiberglass, and concrete.
  • Construct timber and concrete formwork for various structural components.
  • Use precise measurements to cut and assemble boards, timbers, or plywood to the required sizes.
  • Operate power tools safely and correctly, including electric saws, drills, and nail guns.
  • Secure forms using nails, bolts, screws, or anchor rods to ensure stability.
  • Assist in pouring and shaping concrete within the formwork, ensuring it is molded correctly as it cures.
  • Construct structural and decorative elements such as stairs, mantels, and
    furniture.
  • Utilize levels, measuring tools, plumb bobs, framing squares, and surveying equipment to ensure proper alignment and secure installations.
  • Properly install various types of exterior wall panels and interior wall surfaces.

 

Qualifications & Skills:

  • At least two years’ experience in carpentry or a related field.
  • Understanding construction drawings, measurements, and materials.
  • Proficiency in using hand and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work with precision.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and compliance with industry standards.
