Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret and work from building blueprints and diagrams to determine proper dimensions, shapes, and designs of form structures.
- Select and work with materials such as wood, plastic, fiberglass, and concrete.
- Construct timber and concrete formwork for various structural components.
- Use precise measurements to cut and assemble boards, timbers, or plywood to the required sizes.
- Operate power tools safely and correctly, including electric saws, drills, and nail guns.
- Secure forms using nails, bolts, screws, or anchor rods to ensure stability.
- Assist in pouring and shaping concrete within the formwork, ensuring it is molded correctly as it cures.
- Construct structural and decorative elements such as stairs, mantels, and
furniture. - Utilize levels, measuring tools, plumb bobs, framing squares, and surveying equipment to ensure proper alignment and secure installations.
- Properly install various types of exterior wall panels and interior wall surfaces.
Qualifications & Skills:
- At least two years’ experience in carpentry or a related field.
- Understanding construction drawings, measurements, and materials.
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Attention to detail and ability to work with precision.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Commitment to workplace safety and compliance with industry standards.
