Luminous Electrical Ltd is a trusted provider of electrical services based in Auckland. We specialise in a wide range of electrical work across residential and commercial systems. We are now seeking three electricians to join our busy team and deliver high-quality services to our clients. This is a full-time position, with a minimum of 30 guaranteed hours per week. 

You do not need occupational registration, as we hold an Employer Licence and can provide the necessary supervision.

 

The tasks of this role include:

· Examine blueprints, wiring diagrams, drawings, and technical specifications to determine installation sequences and methods of operation

· Measure and lay out installation reference points in accordance with plans and regulatory requirements

· Position, assemble, and install electrical switchboards, distribution boards, and control panels

· Install electrical wiring systems, conduits, and cabling infrastructure

· Select, cut, bend, and connect wires and cables to terminals, connectors, and control devices

· Connect electrical systems and equipment to power supply in accordance with safety standards

· Install circuit breakers, safety switches, and protective devices

· Use electrical and electronic testing instruments to test the continuity of circuits

· Trace and diagnose electrical faults and system malfunctions

· Conduct testing and commissioning of newly installed systems

· Repair and replace faulty wiring, damaged components, and defective electrical parts

· Perform preventative maintenance to ensure ongoing operational efficiency

· Maintain compliance with electrical safety regulations and industry standards

· Ensure all work complies with New Zealand electrical codes and safety regulations

· Adhere to workplace health and safety requirements

· Maintain accurate records of work completed and testing results

 

Requirements for this role:

· At least two years of relevant work experience

· A certificate in an electrical-related field, or a Bachelor’s degree in any major, can replace the work experience requirement

· Be punctual and responsible

· Be hardworking — your earnings will reflect your effort

· Able to work both independently and as part of a team

· Must be able to arrange own transportation
