About the Role

Trisha NZ Limited is seeking a reliable and customer‑focused Store Assistant to support the daily operations of our busy convenience store. This role involves assisting customers, maintaining stock levels, supporting store presentation, and ensuring smooth and efficient retail operations. Full training will be provided, and prior experience is an advantage.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist customers with enquiries and provide helpful product advice across our diverse product range.
  • Support Team Leaders with stock management, replenishment, and forward planning.
  • Monitor stock levels proactively to minimise losses and take corrective action when required.
  • Maintain clean, organised, and well‑presented shelves and product displays.
  • Assist with in‑store promotions, merchandising, and creative displays.
  • Perform heavy lifting as required for stock handling.
  • Operate the Point of Sale system accurately, including cash handling.
  • Sell a wide range of convenience, vape, and dairy products in line with store policies.

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

Experience: Minimum 6 months in a similar retail or customer‑service role is preferred but not essential and
Qualification: High School or College graduate.

You will also demonstrate:

  • Excellent customer service and sales skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Good numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Upselling and cross‑selling capability.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work rostered shifts, as the store operates 7 days a week from 6am–9pm.
