Job Summary

Yogiji Food Mart is seeking 3 x  experienced and highly skilled Forklift Operators to join our team. This role is critical to ensuring efficient stock movement, safe handling of goods, and maintaining high operational standards within our food distribution environment. The successful candidate must demonstrate strong technical forklift operation skills, attention to safety, and the ability to work under pressure.

·      Position: 3 x Forklift Operator

·      Pay Rate: $30 - $35

·      Minimum Weekly Hours: 30

·      Maximum Weekly Hours: 55

Key Responsibilities:

·      Operate forklifts with high precision in confined warehouse environments

·      Load and unload goods from delivery trucks, containers, and storage areas efficiently and safely

·      Perform advanced stacking, racking, and de-stacking of goods ensuring maximum space utilisation

·      Accurately pick, move, and place stock in accordance with warehouse inventory systems

·      Conduct pre-operational checks and routine maintenance inspections of forklifts to ensure safe operation

·      Monitor load weights and ensure proper load balancing to prevent damage or safety hazards

·      Ensure all goods are handled in compliance with food safety standards and company procedures

·      Maintain strict adherence to workplace health and safety regulations at all times

·      Assist in stocktakes, inventory control, and warehouse organisation

·      Identify and report damaged goods, discrepancies, or operational issues promptly

·      Work collaboratively with warehouse staff, supervisors, and logistics teams to meet daily targets

·      Maintain a clean, organised, and hazard-free working environment

Requirements:

·      3 years’ experience OR Relevant Level 4 qualification

·      Valid Forklift Licence required

·      Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, stock control, and safety procedures

·      Physically fit with the ability to lift and handle heavy goods
