About the Company:

Carnation Development Ltd is currently looking for an experienced painter to join our dynamic team in Hamilton. This is a permanent full-time role with an immediate start date. You will be paid at reasonable market rate.

Job duties include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Erecting scaffolding and ladders, and placing drop sheets to protect adjacent areas from paint splattering
  •  Preparing surfaces by removing old paint and wallpaper, fixing woodwork, filling holes and cracks, and smoothing and sealing surfaces
  •  Apply paints, stains, varnishes, and other finishes to interior and exterior surfaces
  •   Mix and match paint colours to achieve the desired result.
  • Ability to deliver high quality work often within strict deadlines
  •  Clean equipment and work areas 
  • Follow all safety protocols and property policies.
  • Collaborate with other team members to complete larger projects 

 Job requirements: 

  •  No formal qualification is required, any certificate is a bonus
  •  Have 2 years or more relevant experience 
  • An eye for detail
  •   Be able to work independently as well as a team
  • Be able to work under pressure
  •  Be physically fit
  •  Be reliable and hardworking 
  • Be willing to work during weekends if required 

 Working Place, hours, Wages level 

  • Working in assigned construction sites in Hamilton 
  • Weekly Hours: You will be paid at actual hours however we guarantee minimum 30 hours and maximum 48 hours
  •  Remuneration: Great market driven rates on experience, hour rate $30-$33 How to apply
