Carpenter

We are seeking an experienced Carpenter to join our team in the Queenstown/Otago region. The successful candidate will cjoin our team working on high end residential projects. The role is a full-time position, you will enjoy a great work environment and stunning views!

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform all aspects of carpentry work, including framing, cladding, roofing, internal linings, fix-out, and finishing.
• Construct and install structures, frameworks, and fixtures in accordance with plans and specifications.
• Complete finishing work and tasks such as surface preparation, tile cutting, installation, grouting, and sealing when required.
• Measure, cut, and shape materials using hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment safely and efficiently.
• Interpret architectural drawings, plans, and job specifications accurately.
• Ensure all work complies with industry standards, building codes, and health and safety regulations.
• Work both independently and as part of a team to meet project deadlines.
• Operate company vehicles and transport materials/equipment as required.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised worksite at all times.

Skills & Experience Required

• Minimum 3 years of relevant carpentry experience (or equivalent trade certifcate or diploma).
• Proficiency in general carpentry, with experience or willingness to undertake finishng works as needed.
• Ability to read and interpret building plans and technical drawings.
• Reliable, hardworking, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Great English to ensure good communication skills and ability to work well within a team.
• Full New Zealand Class 2 driver’s licence or equivalent preferred
