We are seeking an experienced Truck Driver  to join our team at [AWESOME KITCHENS LIMITED], a leading kitchen manufacturing and supply company. The role involves delivering kitchen components, cabinetry, and appliances to various customer locations across the region. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent driving skills, and a commitment to safe and timely deliveries.

●        Number of positions for this job: up to 2

●        Pay rate: from $25-$35 per hour

●        Days required: 5-6 days/week

●        Hours per week: min 30, max 50 hours per week

Responsibilities and Account abilities:
• Safely operate medium-sized trucks for transporting kitchen products, including cabinetry, counter tops, appliances, and fittings to residential and commercial sites

• Perform pre-delivery checks to ensure the vehicle is safe, fully loaded, and properly secured

• Ensure accurate and timely delivery of kitchen products, coordinating with the dispatch team and clients for the best possible delivery schedules

• Handle loading and unloading of goods, ensuring the protection of fragile or heavy items, and using equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts where necessary

• Maintain a clean and organized truck to ensure efficient delivery and proper storage of items

• Follow all New Zealand road transport laws, including vehicle weight limits, speed limits, and safety regulations

• Communicate with clients and contractors to confirm delivery details and resolve any issues

• Assist with the planning of delivery routes to ensure efficiency, considering road conditions and delivery timeframes

• Maintain accurate delivery records, including signed delivery dockets, and report any issues with the product, delivery schedule, or vehicle

• Ensure the correct documentation for deliveries, including invoices and inventory checks, are completed and signed by clients

• Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure the safe handling and transport of kitchen products

Job Requirement

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a truck driver with a clean driving record

• A 'can-do”attitude

• Strong communication skills for interacting with customers and the dispatch team Self-motivated 

• Clean non-criminal record

• Good organizational skills and ability to manage delivery schedules

•  Physically fit to manage the manual loading and unloading of items

• Excellent problem-solving skills for dealing with unexpected situations on the road or at delivery sites 

• An IELTS score of 4.0 or above, or a PTE score of 40 or above.
