We are looking to recruit a commercial cleaner to work in Auckland.
You will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in offices, commercial premises, or residential properties.
Key Responsibilities may include :
· Adhering to all workplace health and safety policies and procedures
· Identifying and reporting hazards, incidents, or risks immediately
· Cleaning and disinfecting contaminated or high-risk environments, including sites affected by:
· Biological contaminants (e.g., bodily fluids, mould, bacteria)
· Chemical residues or hazardous substances
· Using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
· Following infection control protocols and decontamination procedures
· Safe handling, segregation, and disposal of hazardous waste
· Conducting deep cleaning and sanitisation using specialised equipment and chemicals
· Cleaning and sanitising commercial premises including offices, common areas, restrooms, kitchens, and workspaces
· Vacuuming, mopping, sweeping, and dusting all surfaces
· Emptying rubbish bins and disposing of waste in accordance with local regulations
· Restocking consumables such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper
· Cleaning windows, glass partitions, and fixtures
Skills and experience for the role:
- Must be physically fit and able to work on your feet
- Must have a clean car license or overseas equivalent
- Reliable and punctual
- Attention to detail and pride in your work
- Able to work rostered hours, including at evenings and weekends
- Ability to work independently or in a team
- Must have their own transport for commuting to work sites within the greater Auckland area. May be reimbursed for fuel costs.
- Clear communication skills
- Clear background history, able to undergo a background and drug check if required
- Previous cleaning experience preferred but not essential
- Able to provide a positive reference
- Completed high school preferably
Minimum 30 hours a week.
