Job Description:
- Uses building blueprints and diagrams to determine the proper dimensions, shape and design of a form structure.
- Select and work with materials such as wood, plastic, fiberglass, concrete Build timber and concrete forms.
- Use precise measurements to cut and assemble boards, timbers or plywood to the necessary size.
- Utilize chisels, planes, saws, drills, and sanders to repair and erect structures Secure the form with nails, bolts, screws or anchor rods.
- Once the form is secure, concrete is poured between the walls of the form. The concrete is molded and shaped by the design of the form as it cures.
- Build stairs, mantles, and furniture.
- Use levels, rules, plumb bobs, framing squares, and surveying equipment to ensure everything is level and secure.
- Work on top of stilts, ladders, and the top beams of buildings.
Requirements:
- At least two years of relevant experience is required.
- Ability to read and understand construction plans and measurements.
- Physical strength and stamina to handle heavy materials and work in varying outdoor conditions.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
- Able to communicate and collaborate with co-workers on sites.
