Job Description:

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
    in heavy vehicles.
  • Performing routine maintenance, including oil changes, lubrication, and system
    checks.
  •  Testing and adjusting vehicle systems and components using specialized tools and
    diagnostic equipment.
  • Repairing and replacing parts, including engines, transmissions, and braking
    systems.
  • Conducting road tests to ensure repairs have resolved issues and that the vehicle is
    operating safely.
  • Maintaining accurate records of repairs, services, and parts used.
  • Ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
  • Collaborating with other mechanics and technicians to troubleshoot complex issues.
  • Advising clients on necessary repairs, costs, and timelines

Job requirement: applicant must meet following requirement to apply for this job

  • Relevant NZQF Level 4 qualification, OR
  • At least three years of working experience in relevant industry
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems.
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
  • Problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Attention to detail and precision.
  • Good communication skills to liaise with clients and team members.
