Job Description

Duties include:

Make on-site preparations such as building scaffolding, covering fixtures etc.

Prepare walls and other surfaces for painting by scraping, using sandpaper, removing old paint etc. High-quality Brushwork.

Rolling. Sanding, Plastering, Filling and Cleaning.

Painting involves working at heights.

Fill nail holes and cracks with caulk putty plaster. or other filler, using a caulking gun and putty knife.

Mix paint and other materials to prepare the right colour or texture.

Paint surfaces according to instructions with various tools, using materials such as varnish, lacquer, shellac, and enamel. latex and epoxy.

Remove fixtures such as pictures and electric switch cover from the wall before painting.

All products and services must be installed under NZ Standards, Best Practice Guidelines, and any other relevant legislation.

Following Health and Safety guidelines, as well as any onsite-specific requirements.

 

Rate of Pay - $30 to $35 per hour, for normal hours plus overtime hours.

 

Required: minimum 2 years’ experience in duties described above. Must be able to work unsupervised.
