Commercial Cleaner

This role involves cleaning a range of commercial client sites to a high standard. Travel between work sites may be required.

Key duties include:

Cleaning and disinfecting surfaces including floors, walls, windows, doors, furniture, fixtures, and fittings

         Vacuuming carpets and mats, sweeping and mopping hard floors

Carrying out periodic deep cleaning, including machine scrubbing, buffing, strip and polish, and carpet steam cleaning where required

Cleaning and sanitising bathrooms, toilets, kitchens, staff areas, offices, and common areas

Emptying rubbish bins, replacing liners, and disposing of waste appropriately

Restocking consumables such as toilet paper, soap, and paper towels

Cleaning glass, mirrors, stainless steel surfaces, and other detailed finish areas

Operating cleaning equipment and using cleaning chemicals safely and correctly

Following workplace health and safety procedures, including correct use of PPE and reporting hazards or maintenance issues

Maintaining cleaning equipment, supplies, and storage areas in good order

Performing other reasonable cleaning duties as required

Requirements for the role:

Previous commercial cleaning experience is preferred but not essential, as training can be provided to the right person

Must be reliable, honest, hardworking, and able to work independently

Must have good attention to detail and take pride in maintaining high cleaning standards

Must be physically fit and able to carry out manual cleaning duties

Must be available to work rostered shifts

Must communicate professionally and work well with clients and team members

Because this role involves working independently and unsupervised at client premises, including commercial businesses and health-related facilities, applicants must be able to meet client site access and health and safety requirements, including police vetting and drug testing where required
