Peridot Engineering Ltd is a New Zealand-based engineering consultancy specialising in structural, geotechnical, and civil engineering design. We provide technical expertise and project support across a wide range of residential, commercial, and industrial developments.

We are seeking a Project Coordinator to support the coordination and delivery of ongoing engineering and construction projects.

About the Role

This role is ideal for someone who is organised, detail-oriented, and able to work closely with multiple stakeholders to ensure projects are running smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Assisting in the development, review, and coordination of project documentation, contracts, and variations
  • Managing and maintaining project records, documentation, and administrative processes
  • Liaising with Project Managers, engineers, architects, contractors, and clients to support project delivery
  • Responding to project-related enquiries and assisting in resolving operational issues
  • Monitoring contractor activities and reporting on progress and any variations to work orders
  • Preparing reports, submissions, and updates on project status and performance
  • Collecting and analysing project data and assisting in reporting outcomes
  • Supporting senior management by identifying issues and implementing decisions
  • Assisting with coordination of office and project-related logistical arrangements where required

Skills & Experience Required

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • A Diploma (Level 5 or above) in Construction, Business, Engineering, or a related field;
    OR
  • At least 3 years of relevant work experience in an administrative or project coordination role

In addition, you will ideally have:

  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work with a range of stakeholders
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a project environment
  • Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Familiarity with construction or engineering project environments (preferred but not essential)
