Peridot Engineering Ltd is a New Zealand-based engineering consultancy specialising in structural, geotechnical, and civil engineering design. We provide technical expertise and project support across a wide range of residential, commercial, and industrial developments.
We are seeking a Project Coordinator to support the coordination and delivery of ongoing engineering and construction projects.
About the Role
This role is ideal for someone who is organised, detail-oriented, and able to work closely with multiple stakeholders to ensure projects are running smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Assisting in the development, review, and coordination of project documentation, contracts, and variations
- Managing and maintaining project records, documentation, and administrative processes
- Liaising with Project Managers, engineers, architects, contractors, and clients to support project delivery
- Responding to project-related enquiries and assisting in resolving operational issues
- Monitoring contractor activities and reporting on progress and any variations to work orders
- Preparing reports, submissions, and updates on project status and performance
- Collecting and analysing project data and assisting in reporting outcomes
- Supporting senior management by identifying issues and implementing decisions
- Assisting with coordination of office and project-related logistical arrangements where required
Skills & Experience Required
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- A Diploma (Level 5 or above) in Construction, Business, Engineering, or a related field;
OR - At least 3 years of relevant work experience in an administrative or project coordination role
In addition, you will ideally have:
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Good communication skills and the ability to work with a range of stakeholders
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a project environment
- Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Familiarity with construction or engineering project environments (preferred but not essential)
