Waterjet Operator - LATE SHIFTS

Location: Judea, Tauranga, Bay of Plenty, New Zealand
Late Shifts: 4.00 pm - 12.00 pm Mon-Fri (more hours could be available)
Hourly Rates: $40-$50 p/h - depending on experience and skills
 
Due to the popularity of classical stone benchtops and surfaces, along with Pacific Stone's well-established reputation for craftsmanship, precision, and providing the best in quality, value, service, and delivery, they have availability on the late shift for a new CNC Waterjet Operator.
 
Working with premium materials and the latest stone processing technology to deliver outstanding results to their customers, Pacific Stone are one of the few New Zealand companies utilising a GMM TECHNI Waterjet to cut through stone and create high-end bespoke benchtops, countertops, and other surfaces.
 
Role Responsibilities:
  • Operate and maintain the Techni WaterJet CNC machine.
  • Read, interpret, and follow drawings and cutting plans.
  • Set up jobs and program cuts as required.
  • Monitor machine performance and ensure high-quality output.
  • Perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Communicate with the production team to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Adhere to health and safety protocols and work practices.
Skills and Experience Required:
  • Experience operating a CNC water jet machine, ideally in a stone fabrication environment, or similar industry.
  • Understanding of CAD drawings and templates.
  • Strong attention to detail and focus on precision.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
  • Must be available to work late shifts.
