About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Operational Fleet Manager to oversee the day-to-day management of our vehicle fleet and logistics operations. This is a key role responsible for ensuring operational efficiency, compliance, and high-quality service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate vehicle allocation, scheduling, and client collections
- Ensure vehicles are clean, serviced, and ready on time
- Manage vehicle returns, inspections, and cost recovery
- Maintain records of Rego, RUC, servicing, and compliance
- Maintain accurate fleet records including invoices and lifecycle documentation
- Prepare management reports on fleet performance and KPIs
- Manage accident reporting and insurance claims
- Oversee infringements and compliance requirements
- Liaise with leasing partners and stakeholders
- Identify and implement process improvements
- Represent the company in client meetings
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Participate in monthly reporting and management meetings
Minimum Requirements:
- At least 3 years relevant experience in fleet management, logistics, or transport operations
OR
- A relevant Level 4 qualification or higher in logistics, transport, or related field
Additional Requirements:
- Strong organisational and reporting skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong customer service focus
- Current clean driver’s licence
Preferred:
- Experience in heavy transport industry
- Knowledge of NZ compliance (Rego, RUC)
- Experience with leasing companies and fleet systems
