We are in search of a proficient electrical technician to join our team.

Main tasks & responsibilities:

  • Carry out on-site electrical installations and circuitry work, ensuring strict adherence to design specifications.
  • Assist Electrical Engineers in field layout and troubleshooting of electrical systems, concentrating on substations, switchgear, cabling systems, and motor control systems.
  • Conduct on-site data collection, testing, and calculations to facilitate the practical operation of electrical systems.
  • Estimate material quantities and costs based on project requirements, and assist in on-site procurement and management.
  • Perform on-site quality control and safety inspections, promptly identifying and proposing solutions to issues.
  • Troubleshoot technical challenges encountered in the field, ensuring seamless construction of electrical systems.
  • Carry out on-site installation, testing, calibration, and maintenance of electrical equipment and installations, ensuring compliance with pertinent regulations and safety standards.

Requirements:

  • Applicants must have a minimum of 3 years of pertinent work experience or hold a relevant diploma.
  • Availability to work in both the Wellington and Canterbury regions is essential.

What we offer:

$32 - $42 per hour (depends on your qualifications and experience).
Guaranteed a minimum of 30 hours a week, up to a maximum of 40 hours per week.
