Rightmove Recruitment is seeking a qualified Carpenters to join our team in Christchurch, Canterbury. You will be working alongside a great team of people on different residential projects.
Your expertise will be essential in ensuring high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.
Hours of work will be 07:30am to 5:00pm Monday to Friday.
Starting pay rate will be $32.00 - $36.00 per hour.

What you'll be doing
- Undertake all aspects of carpentry work, including framing, roofing, flooring, and finishing
- Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications to ensure accurate completion of projects
- Collaborate with the project manager, sub-contractors, and clients to coordinate and execute construction schedules
- Maintain a safe and organised work environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations
- Mentor and train junior carpenters, passing on your expertise and knowledge
- You will have at least 2 years' experience in a construction environment
- Excellent knowledge of carpentry techniques, materials, tools and equipment
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Commitment to workplace health and safety
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- A keen eye for detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work
- Formal qualification in Carpentry preferred but not essential
- You will need your own basic tools
- Full licence and reliable transport to get to work
- 2 contactable references
