We are looking for an experienced Tradesperson for a busy welding workshop based in Christchurch. This role is a full-time role which could lead to permanent employment for the right person.
The hours of work are dayshift Monday to Friday, 40- 45 hours a week. With occasional overtime as required on a Saturday.
Tasks will include repairs and maintenance, welding, cutting, grinding and fabrication of parts and items. Primarily MIG and Flux Core.
The role is working with a small friendly team in a busy environment where the team work together to get the job done to a high standard on time, producing quality work every time.
Starting rate: $31.00 to $35.00 per hour (depending on experience)

What we need from you:
- Good communication skills
- Good welding/ fitting/ fabrication skills
- Able to use your own initiative
- Confident with repairs and maintenance tasks
- Team player, with a good attitude and good work ethic
- Full class 1 licence and transport to get to work
- Be happy to complete a variety of tasks as required
- Basic engineering hand tools
- Variety of work
