About the role
AOYY TRADE LIMITED is seeking a capable and motivated Retail Manager to oversee the daily operations of our retail business. This role is responsible for ensuring efficient store operations, supervising staff, maintaining service standards, monitoring sales performance, and supporting the overall growth of the business.
Key Responsibilities
Your duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Managing the daily operations of the retail business to ensure efficient and effective performance
- Supervising, training, and supporting retail staff, including rostering and performance monitoring
- Maintaining high standards of customer service and store presentation
- Monitoring stock levels, coordinating purchasing, and ensuring products are properly displayed and replenished
- Implementing store policies and procedures to support smooth day-to-day operations
- Monitoring sales performance and analysing retail and financial data to support business decisions
- Assisting with budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting activities
- Maintaining relationships with suppliers and coordinating product ordering and pricing arrangements
- Handling customer enquiries, complaints, and service issues in a professional manner
- Ensuring compliance with workplace health and safety requirements and other relevant business standards
Qualifications and Experience
At least one year of relevant work experience in the retail industry is required, or a relevant qualification at NZQF Level 4 or higher. No specific major is required if the candidate holds a bachelor’s degree or higher.
