Experienced & Qualified Drainlayer Wanted

We are currently seeking experienced (and preferably qualified) Drainlayers for upcoming projects in Wairoa.

Our client has a strong pipeline of work ahead and is looking for reliable, skilled professionals who can hit the ground running.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install drainage systems in accordance with New Zealand regulations and standards
• Read and interpret plans, blueprints, and specifications to ensure accurate installation
• Carry out maintenance and repairs on existing drainage systems
• Operate and maintain drainage equipment safely and efficiently
• Ensure all work complies with health & safety requirements and industry standards

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Attitude:

• Proven hands-on experience in drainlaying
• Relevant New Zealand drainlaying certification is an advantage
• Current NZ Class 1 Full Driver’s Licence
• Physically fit and capable of lifting 20kg+
• Strong knowledge of drainage and plumbing materials, methods, and systems
• Ability to interpret drawings, plans, and instructions accurately
• Good understanding of building, safety, and compliance regulations
• Knowledge of the New Zealand Building Code as it relates to drainage
• Able to pass a drug and alcohol test and a criminal conviction check
• Must be legally eligible to work in New Zealand
• Reliable transportion
