Position Title: Site Manager
Number of Positions: 2
Location: Waikato Region
Pay Rate: $30 – $36 per hour
Hours of Work: 30 – 40 hours per week
Key Requirements
- 2 Years of experience or Level 4 Qualification.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations across assigned horticulture sites.
- Coordinate workers, contractors, and daily work schedules.
- Monitor productivity, work quality, and site performance.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and company procedures.
- Conduct site inspections and resolve operational issues.
- Maintain site records, reports, and activity logs.
- Support planning and delivery of seasonal orchard programmes.
- Manage tools, equipment, and materials on‑site.
- Liaise with management regarding labour, progress, and resource needs.
- Implement improvements to improve efficiency and safety.
Position Title: Fruit Production Supervisor
Number of Positions: 3
Location: Waikato Region
Pay Rate: $26 – $32 per hour
Hours of Work: 30 – 40 hours per week
Key Requirements
- 2 Years of experience or Level 4 Qualification.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily fruit production and orchard activities.
- Monitor plant health, irrigation, pest, and disease conditions.
- Allocate tasks and supervise orchard workers and seasonal staff.
- Deliver seasonal programmes including pruning, thinning, and canopy work.
- Train staff in safe horticultural practices and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with health & safety requirements.
- Oversee safe use of orchard tools and equipment.
- Maintain production records and activity logs.
- Conduct quality checks to protect crop yield and standards.
- Report orchard progress and issues to management.
Position Title: Horticulture Leading Hand
Number of Positions: 2
Location: Waikato Region
Pay Rate: $28 – $34 per hour
Hours of Work: 30 – 40 hours per week
Key Requirements
- 2 Years of experience or Level 4 Qualification.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead orchard workers in daily horticultural tasks.
- Carry out pruning, thinning, tying‑down, and canopy management.
- Allocate work tasks and monitor productivity and quality.
- Assist supervisors with seasonal planning and workflows.
- Operate orchard tools and equipment safely.
- Train new staff in correct techniques and safety practices.
- Maintain orchard hygiene and biosecurity standards.
- Support irrigation checks, repairs, and orchard maintenance.
- Report plant health or safety issues promptly.
- Keep simple work and productivity records.
