About you:
We're looking for a passionate Junior Production Draughtsperson to join our plate
processing design team. You will have a qualification in mechanical engineering or industrial design or similar.
You’ll also bring to the table:
Strong proficiency with CAD software (AutoCAD and Solidworks preferred).
Outstanding attention to detail.
Effective time management and teamwork skills.
Great communication and analytical skills are also a must, in order to successfully take
specifications, sketches, or sometimes verbal descriptions, and turn them into drawings so
our machine operators can produce the real thing.
About the role:
You will develop an in-depth knowledge of the processing capabilities of our advanced steel processing equipment, and apply this knowledge as you prepare jobs for the factory,
understanding the customer’s requirements for each part, capturing this and communicating with our production team through workshop drawings, BOM and router information, and setting the parts up in CAM software.
You will have regular involvement with both customers and production staff as you work to
solve a range of manufacturing challenges.
This is an office-based role located in Upper Hutt. Hours of work are full-time, 44.5 hours
per week, 7:30am - 5:00pm, Monday to Friday.
