About the role
Location: Auckland
Full-time and Permanent
Pay: 35-40 per hour, depending on the candidate's experience
Hours per week: minimum of 40 hours
As a Site Manager at NY Trading Limited, you will be responsible for overseeing all construction activities on commercial and residential development project located in Auckland. Reporting directly to the company director, this full-time role will see you leading a team of skilled construction workers to ensure the successful and timely delivery of the project.
Job responsibilities
- Supervising and coordinating the day-to-day activities of the construction team to maintain the project schedule and quality standards
- Liaising with subcontractors, suppliers and other stakeholders to ensure the smooth flow of materials, equipment and labour
- Monitoring health and safety compliance and implementing measures to mitigate risks on site
- Identifying and resolving construction issues in a timely manner to minimise disruptions
- Maintaining detailed records and providing regular progress reports to the Project Manager
- Implementing quality control procedures and inspecting work to validate adherence to specifications
- Supporting the recruitment, training and development of the construction team
Skills and Qualifications Requirements
- A qualification of diploma or higher specialised in project/construction management or related field
- At least 1 year of proven experience as a Site Manager or similar role
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, equipment and safety regulations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with diverse stakeholders
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications and contracts
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills to resolve issues efficiently
- Proficient in the use of construction management software and technology
- A tertiary qualification in Construction Management or a related field is preferred
