Water Works Fitters Wanted

We are a well-established, Auckland based construction company that has become widely recognised for tackling a wide range of  projects in Auckland, with most of the work being primarily located in the West Auckland region.

A reputable Auckland Based Watermain and Hydro Jetting Company in on the hunt for some capable and motivated Hydrovac Operators to assist across projects 

Now we are looking for 2 Water Works Fitters to join our team and we invite you to share this commitment with us!  

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

•       interpreting drawings, plans and technical specifications to determine required materials, installation methods and work sequence for water supply and distribution systems

•       preparing and shaping metal and plastic pipework to required specifications using cutting, drilling and machining tools

•       measuring, cutting, threading, bending and joining pipes using appropriate techniques to ensure correct alignment and secure fit

•       assembling, fitting and installing pipelines, valves and related components to construct and maintain water infrastructure

•       erecting and positioning pipelines and associated equipment on-site in compliance with safety and regulatory requirements

•       inspecting completed installations for leaks, alignment and compliance using testing equipment and precision instruments

•       identifying faults in water pipeline systems and carrying out necessary repairs, replacements and routine maintenance

•       dismantling, overhauling and reassembling pipeline components and mechanical equipment to restore optimal operation

Job Requirements

•       Have at least 2 years’ work experience in the same field/industry, or

•       have a relevant NZ level 4 qualification or equivalent qualifications/certificates
