Tile Masters Limited is a New Zealand-owned and operated tiling company. Established in 2016, we have grown into a successful and thriving business over the past nine years. We specialize in providing tiling services for commercial buildings, residential apartments, and houses.

Due to continued business growth, we are now seeking an experienced and skilled Tiling Foreman to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

·       Affix ceramic, slate, marble, and glass tiles to walls and floors, using glues, grout, and cement

·       Construct small walls and steps from bricks or blocks

·       Examine plans, measure and make surfaces and lay out work

·       Prepare wall and floor surfaces by removing ole tiles, grout and adhesive, filling holes and cracks, and cleaning surfaces

·       Spread adhesive onto prepared surfaces and tiles and set tiles in position

·       Use tile-cutting tools to cut and shape tiles needed for edges and corners & around objects fittings and pipes

·       Ensure tiles are correctly aligned and spaced

·       Apply waterproofing systems

·       Lay floors of granolithic, terrazzo, cement or similar composition

·       Lay coloured tiles in patterns to create mosaic

·       Lead, coach, train and mentor staff members to deliver high quality outcomes on budget

·       Quality control of the work process and regular site inspections

·       Perform other relevant tasks requested by employer

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years' relevant experience in tiling or flooring
  • At least 6 months of experience as a supervisor/foreman
  • Strong understanding of Health & Safety, Environmental, and Quality standards
  • Able to identify problems and implement timely, effective solutions
  • Able to motivate, drive and mentor team
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Physically fit, responsible, and hardworking
  • Willing to work overtime when required
  • No history of drug or alcohol issues
  • Clean criminal record
